Hi! I’m Camilla and I’m a violin + viola teacher in Pasadena, CA. You can read more about me here. I’ve had a a private studio since 2009, and I teach violinists and violists of all levels who wish to solidify or refresh their fundamentals. I’m based in Los Angeles, and I teach online and in person.
My students range from complete beginners of all ages to pre-college students and pre-professionals who want to improve their own playing. Find out more about who I work with here.
As a teacher, I bring a questioning, analytic approach to every aspect of violin/viola playing. I love when — like me — a student asks *why* a technique works, not just that it works!
As an orchestral musician, I've played with orchestras such as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and at the Tanglewood Music Center. I’ve trained broadly on both violin and viola, having attended top conservatories such as the Cleveland Institute of Music and Indiana University. More on my bio page.
